Lynn Redgrave's Mother Plays James Mason's Wife!!

Surprised nobody has commented or apparently noticed that the part of James Mason's sickly, indifferent wife is played by Lynn Redgrave's mother, Rachel Kempson! It's weird enough that James Mason's character is being a lech to Georgy, the daughter of his friend/servant who he has known since she was a baby but then you have Lynn's mother playing Mason's wife while Mason is lusting after Lynn and of course eventually marries Georgy/Lynn after his wife dies!!

Aha! When James Mason came home and brought some things for his wife who was laying in her bed, I thought I saw an older Lynn Redgrave. But it was her mother, Rachel Kempson. Thanks.

Now that is truly an interesting fact. It's right there in the cast list but it takes someone who knows to spot these things. Thanks so much.

After I saw the film I began to wonder where she was. Thanks for the info. I don't think she and Lynn exchanged any dialogue in the film; I just saw it last night, but was too busy texting to notice.
