No matter how much of a GODZILLA fan that I am, I can't wait for the new film to come out, War of the Gargantuas is one of my best monster films of all time, Right with GODZILLA, RODAN, and Them.What was great about this Monster flick was the bad Gargantua ate people,kinda something that monster movie fans really didn't see back then. shareThis movie terrified me as a kid and still ranks as one of my favorite movies of all time. The green gargantua is absolutely brutal! Hopefully if the upcoming Godzilla movie is a box office hit they'll consider remaking this because it is a quality story with horrifyingn aspects that could be amazing in the right hands
shareI think Baragon and Gaira (Green Gargantua) are the only giant monsters in the Toho filmography to explicitly eat people.
shareRodan did swipe that honeymoon couple at the volcano, and later had them for lunch, but it was not really the same as watching the Green Gargantua literally doing it. Watching it as a little kid, it was both frightening and unsettling (and strangely, I loved it! ).
