does anyone else think this is a bit like a comedy of errors. i could be wrong because i was working during the play and didnt see everything

Yes it is very much a comedy of errors.. the misunderstandings and errors of the charectors is the whole point of the story... you must rent it and see it agian.

This is based on several plays of Plautus, who was also an acknowledged influence on Shakespeare, so I would imagine it's pretty easy to see connections.

The Comedy of Errors is based on a Plautus play. The difference between the two versions is that, in Plautus' version, the master is the only one who has a twin, whereas in Shakespeare's version, both the master and the servant have twins.
