Every Boy Scout should see this movie.

I seriously think that every person that is, or ever was a Boy Scout should see this movie. It shows how a person could put Boy Scouts to good use. That's all I have to say.

Yeah, it's a great movie. I work for the Boy Scouts, and we sell it on DVD.

I know what you mean Every Scout should see this film. I remember way back in the 70's when I was a Scout every Blue & Gold Dinner was topped off with a Showing of this Movie. I need to find it on DVD to add it to my Collection of Disney Movies. A great Memory.

Hello, I am boy scot from Slovenia and I can not find subtitles in english on internet. I am translating this movie and creating subtitles throguh listening. If I could get english subtitles I would not have soo much work. We will show this movie to our youth but there is a problem, because a lot of them does not understand English that good that they would understand everything in the movie.
With subtitles my work would not take soo much time. Are there any subtitles, becuase my DVD does not have any on it.

I manage a video store in Seattle, and I'm an Eagle Scout ('88). This movie really takes me back. I had a Scout Master named Robert Carlson who'd been involved with Scouting since the '30's, and he was very much like Fred MacMurray's character in this one, though a little "crustier", shall we say.

To answer your question tomas1508, I haven't been able to find any subtitles online, but the Region 1 (N America) DVD has English and Spanish subtitles, and Closed Captioning. ISBN# 0-78885-5123-3, UPC# 7 86936 23368 1.

Don't know if that will help you at all, but it might be a start.

Could you give info....I want to add this dvd to my Disney Collection..

Adding myself to the list of former scouts who also saw this movie; in fact, I was an 11-year-old second-class scout when I saw it in the theater.  Back then Scouting was still like this for the most part; and I was fortunate to have a troop leader who also gave a damn which resulted in my own Eagle in 1969.

My Troop(49) From Milwaukee saw this on opening night...Best Scouting Movie of
all time.... And, I was IN a scout Movie about canoing on Crystal River. I think it's long been retired.... Paul Gries filmed it in 16mm. I was the kid with dad that went up on top of a big rock, rocked back and forth for a bit....then we Fell IN!! Best time I ever had in scouting!!!
