DVD complaints

I picked up the DVD on release day. It's decent. I just wish it was more.

What's missing is the first episode of the cartoon series. And an episode guide for it.

There should have been a DVD-ROM with the unproduced scripts (mid-1990s) for the remake:

#1 Crew injected into the body of an alien dying from a terrestrial desease (think Area-51).

#2 Crew injected into the body of the dying President of the United States.

What would be cool (still DVD-ROM) - PDF format the novelization for the 1966 movie. And cooler still include the book "Fantastic Voyage II" (both books are out of print by the way).

Anyhow, two disc set - movie and commentaries disc 1. Everything else disc 2 (and expanded galleries!).

I had some complaints about the dvd too, but not with the film presentation. My complaints are with the special features. Why didn't they have Raquel Welch do commentary? That would've been interesting to get her memories and perspectives on the film.

20th Century Fox announced before the dvd release that there'd be a "screen test" of actress Tina Marquand with Stephen Boyd in the special features. That's wasn't included either. Would've been good to see comparative screen tests of that actress with Raquel Welch.

Seems like they didn't put too much effort into the special features section, which was a disappointment.

it seems that alot of older movies released on DVD don't have many extras. I remember the series. I'm glad to see this movie on DVD finally!
