It was used on Futurama ("Parasites Lost"), Family Guy ("Emission Impossible"), Invader Zim ("Nanozim") and maybe The Simpsons ("The Genesis Tub" from ToH VII). I'm surprised the Venture Bros. haven't gotten around to it.

There's probably a tonne more. Oh, of course an Animorphs book, by that stage I hadn't yet seen the movie but still recognised it as yet another "Fantastic Voyage episode" and was happy to see the book mention the movie by name.
It's used a lot, and like any cliché, it becomes very recognisable. Then again, the human body is and will always be a fascinating subject so there's nothing wrong with something that brings attention to it.
It was parodied on Children's Hospital as well. Rob Huebel was the "micronaut".
