The Fantastic Invasion of My Wallet!

I'll never forget when this film was reissued in 3-D in 1975 with the title THE FANTASTIC INVASION OF PLANET EARTH, and I went to the theater with a friend, expecting to see a cool sci-fi movie, but all we saw was a dull, lackluster drama that took forever to end. The 3-D effects were good, but the film was a long bore otherwise. It was like a Twilight Zone episode, but not done as well as Rod Serling would have done it.
As we were walking out of the theater, I quipped to my friend, "Man, that was the Fantastic Invasion of My Wallet!" We both laughed, and said, "Arch Oboler sure knew how to sucker the audience, and make money off a sensational title."
