The Bubble

I saw this film in the theater when i was 4 years old, and remember it fairly well. I recently won it on a bid on e-bay and was thilled to see it exisited after all. bad as it may have been, it left an impression on a youth. the lack of much of a story was for the most part a moot point at that age, and the 3-D glasses experience certainly was an attention keeper. breaking though a barrier that you couldn't go around was my best memory going at it with a truck, non stop throwing 3-d things to the audience seemed to get worked in everywhere. I hope when it arrives I can give it a good review, still 40 years might change things....chuckles, madpenn

To be fair, the film was polaroid in its original release. The DVD is the more inferior red/cyan anaglyph format, which works, but just not as well.

I got my copy from a collector in the box with the glasses. I paid quite a bit for it-but I wanted it.

I have always wondered about the original way it was packaged in 1966. I was 7 years old and I remember it-what most people say-because of the music got stuck in my head.

I never saw the movie again except on Creature Feature in 1974 when it was called 'Fantastic Invasion of planet Earth'

I have the long version and the 3D glasses did not do a thing for me as my vision has never been that good my entire life.

Creature Feature was popular all over the country 10:30pm-12:00 on Saturday night and it was always the big talk at school come Monday. The only night any of us could stay up.

Only, occasionally, will I talk to someone who remembers the show-Cecil B Creep was the host and at the high school reunion it was again all we talked about.

I have always wondered why just a few people remember it.
