High School Showing 1975

I come from a rural farming community in KY. In our high school in the 1970s, clubs would put on shows or rent films to show to the student body to raise money. One of them rented "The Family Way", naively thinking that if Haley Mills was in it, it must be wholesome entertainment.

Well, never a more adult film was seen by the high school. Talk of impotence and queerness and infidelity. And, to top it off... nudity! Will never forget one classmate saying he couldn't wait for his mother to ask him what he did at school that day.

"I'll just say: 'Mom.. I got to see Haley Mills' ass!'"
