a foolish Hollywood cliche scene!

how many times have we seen westerns where someone is dying of thirst in the middle of a desert, empties the last drop of water and throws the canteen away. as Mr. Spock would say, it's not logical. if and when they find water how are they going to carry a new supply. such a foolish Hollywood cliche scene!

If you're referring to the canteen with a bullet hole in it, then it is logical to throw the useless dead weight away. If someone else threw away a completely intact canteen, I missed it and apologize.
