Does anyone else think this is the best in the carry on series?

Yep, maybe second actually my fave being Carry on Dick!

Yes I love this movie. Some of the other ones weren't quite as funny, like "Carry On Follow That Camel", which nearly put me to sleep

no, i much prefer the non period stuff. the best is in my opinion CO Abroad followed by Camping and At your convenience.

Carry On Cleo is my favorite closely followed by Carry On Screaming

I'd say Cleo is my favourite, then Don't lose your Head.

Most of them are absolute classics though.

I think this is one of the most underrated, probably because it lost the carry on banner when first distributed. But indeed its much funnier than its companion piece the dire Follow That Camel and the double act of Williams & Butterworth is comic timing of the masterclass. "thats where ya wrong see, cuz no one knows who my father was, not even my mother" haha.
Hawtrey is also standout as Pom Frit.

Screaming and Cleo are the best by miles.

This is in the second rank, along with Cowboy, Abroad, Matron etc.

"By this time tomorrow, the Duc de Pom Frit, will have had his chips!!!!!!!"
