Where Is Harlan Ellison???

Harlan Ellison sued James Cameron over the resemblance between Terminator and Space Soldier, so why didn't he sue the producers of "Cyborg 2087?"

reply

THE TERMINATOR grossed $38,400,000 (USA). It's doubtful CYBORG 2087 made much more than that.

Are you suggesting that Ellison files lawsuits based on how much money he can make off of them and not on the merit of the case? I'm shocked sir, shocked!

Harlan Ellison is a *beep* sucker.

Ellison doesnt sues camoron for the money Terminator made. He receives money but he wanted to be acknowledged for the story he writes and camoron uses for the (first) terminator flick.

Camoron plagiarized the Ellison's Outer Limits episode Soldier (not Space Solider as OP says) in which two soldiers from the future are transported to the past and continue their struggling there (the present) as in the terminator movie. Thats why Ellison sues camoron.

Ellison didnt need to sue the producers of Cyborg 2087 because the premise of that movie have nothing to do with his Outer Limits episode or other Ellison stories.

In fact, the producers of Cyborg 2087 could sue camoron for, again, plagiarize their story: a robot who is sent from its present (the future) to the past in order to avoid something. Sounds familiar?

Camoron is a plagiarist. He heavily borrows from the novel The World of Noon, from russian writers Boris and Arkadi Strugatsky to make the avatar bull$hit. The Sam Worthington's character from this movie is borrowed from Poul Anderson's story Call Me Joe.

Are you watched any of those names included on the movie credits?
