copy of this film

Hello. Anybody know where I can get a copy of this film or when the DVD will be released. This has been on my watch list for a long time. I'm so ready to see this movie. Thanks

I already posted this on another topic but get this film on the Region 2 DVD Anchor Bay released six years ago. The DVD comes with a great retrospective documentry and it also has both 5.1 Dolby Digital and DTS audio options. The DTS option is superb and the transfer is pretty decent. On another note the DVD version of the film has a few extra scenes inserted in the film that I did not see on my old VHS copy. Also get Repulsion on Region 2, another Polanski masterpiece that is backed up with great extras and a superb DTS sound option.

Thanks, but will Region 2 work on a DVD player purchased and used in the United States?

reply

Get a multi-region DVD player. I don't know how it is in the U.S. but here in the U.K. go to any independent electrical retailer and they'll sell you one with no fuss whatsoever. If you already have a DVD player get it hacked (or chipped) to make it multi-region.

I like to remember things my own way...

You can purchase an all-regions dvd player online. Be sure the seller sends installation instructions to access the all-regions programming. It is worthwhile for the true film fan. I found the wondrous Anchor Bay boxed set with Repulsion, Cul-de-sac and Knife in the Water while looking for Repulsion, having been warned off the American dvd release as pan-and-scan BAD reproduction.

I'm watching it on Hulu, it was added a couple of weeks ago.
