How does this film stack up to Exodus?

Having never seen either film, I was wondering which one would be better to watch, or should I watch (or ignore) both of them? I'm a huge history buff and have always been fascinated with Israel. I like most of the actors in both films so that isn't a hindrance.

Hmm... If you're looking for an historically accurate depiction, I'd suggest skipping both. Both movies are (in my opinion) loaded up with propaganda.

I recall attending a debate on Palestine back when I was in college. The moderator was one of my political science professors, who in retrospect should never have agreed to do it. He tried to keep it balanced, but by the end, the Israeli side was screaming that he was an anti-Semite and the Palestinian side was screaming that he was a Zionist. I've found that most books I've read tended to support one side or the other - so you'll have to read a variety and even then, you'll probably still be frustrated!

Back to the original point... I can at least point to a four part series from the late Roger Ebert that at least presents several films you could look into (neither Exodus nor Cast a Giant Shadow are on these lists, for what its worth):
