shoot out at the end, if The Bad kills blondie?

So blondie doesn't write a name on the rock...if angel eyes happens to shoot him down in the final shootout, tuco is left with an unloaded gun and angel eyes picks up the rock and sees no name. He may shoot tuco but would talk to him first. Would those 2 figure it out ?? I don't think so, and tuco gets shot and no one gets the gold. If blondie doesn't get it, then no one does. I believe that was his plan if he died.

I think Angel Eyes would have figured it out eventually. Blondie tells Tuco that it is buried in Arch Stanton's grave. How would he have known that Arch Stanton had a grave there unless Bill Carson told him? Angel Eyes would have figured out that the hiding place had something to do with Arch Stanton, and from there I don't think it would have taken him long to realize about the unknown grave next to Stanton's.

yea that could be true. angel eyes would have tuco start digging, and they probably start with the digging up the rest of arch Stanton's grave. but did Blondie have Tuco start digging up Archs grave as a ploy just in case Angel Eyes was going to ambush them, like he did? Otherwise, why even bother having Tuco waste time digging it up? Blondie must have knew Angel Eyes was hot on their trail. SO many good endings could have arisen out of that final chapter.
Like I said in other posts, Tuco, love him or hate him, his way of life got him half the gold, the same amount as the good's. Diametrically opposed ways of living, but both achieve the same goal. pretty cool movie.
