Has anyone seen the show or read the book about a lion called Christian who two Australian men brought a lion from Harrods, i saw a documentry on it yesterday and it was fantastic! Anybody who enjoyed this film should by the dvd or book now because its incredible all the footage they have got on it. If you youtube, Christian the lion reunion, you will see when they were reunited 1 year after they put the lion back into the wild. Its an incredible story!

shareShe was difficult to get along with, refused to let George have any of the residuals from the movie "Born Free" to augment his attempts at rehabilitating lions, she went her way, and George went the other way, she resented that the documentary about Christian's rehabilitation gave George financial independence. She told Ace and John "Your stupid fat English lion will be killed and so will George."
I got the book from amazon.com. It's published in 2009 and includes not only the original manuscript but a follow up of what happened later on. Looking back both Ace and John realize they never should have been allowed to buy a lion and in doing so, they contributed in the trafficking of wild animals.
