Alternate Ending?

Just watched this for the second time, and I could have sworn the first time I saw it, it ended with Betty and Billy riding away and Betty revealing that she is now a vampire.

Perhaps I imagined this, or am remembering a different movie, but does this sound familiar to anyone?

That sounds almost like the ending of "The Fearless Vampire Killers" with Roman Polanski and Sharon Tate.

No, you imagined all of this. There was a sequel in the works titled Billy the Kid vs The Wolfman but it got cancelled
