killed what would otherwise have been a halfway decent movie. Even though this was made before sexual harassment laws, the captain should have told these two to calm down or they would become fish food.
shareI could not agree with you more. But it wasn't just the two, all but two of the men aboard made asses of themselves. They were either acting like smitten high school boys, or misogynistic pigs. I wonder if the cast was embarrassed with the level of saccharin drama?
... and that wasn't the only problem with the movie. As much as I liked the cast, I certainly wouldn't rate this as a 'great' movie; but perhaps as an O.K. film. I wish that there had been more drama and / or excitement. It's listed on TCM as a 'thriller', but there wasn't much 'thrill' in it. In essence ..... great cast, so-so script that just didn't have enough thrills, adventure, excitement, drama or something .... ?!?!?!
