The widow lets it be known that Yasmin is Yussef's daughter mid-plot= YUCK!!! The whole flavor of the movie and these 2 characters changes at this point. Is she really his daughter? It is not mentioned again in the movie, whether she was lying or Yasmin really his daughter.

not Yussef's but Generali Ali's (was that his name?). Yussef is working for General Ali.

Hast Du auch gestern ZDF geschaut?

On top of them not being related, it is made quite clear that the widow was lying, because she works for Yussef, just like her husband did.
