Rosemary Murphy

I watched this again for first time in many years after I heard that Rosemary Murphy had died. I have to say she OWNED this movie. From her first scene all I wanted was to watch her!

Totally agree. She kept this film afloat, despite the monumental miscasting of Fonda in the lead.

She embodies the well-bred, well-spoken, wealthy kind of woman so good at this kind of movie. (and the audience of women who either were like her, or dreamed of being like her.)

Quite sexy in an odd way, as she seems very understanding of her husband, relatively speaking.🐭
