Just got an email from TCM alerting me that the broadcast scheduled for Feb 25th has been cancelled! Why??? Ive been waiting so long to see it again. I'm in it! In the nightclub scene. Darn!

shareI watched it this morning, before I left for work, woke up at 5:30 to do so, and trust me, you didn't miss anything. This could be the worst movie I've ever seen.
I like listening to MacDonald Carey reading this book on tape (don't know if it's on CD now) and I've read the book myself, I was looking forward to finally seeing this movie. I also really like Stuart Whitman.
IT WAS TERRIBLE. I would have thrown Eleanor Parker off the ledge just for BAD ACTING... she must have thought she was going for the Oscar there. God. Made me wince.
I hope you get to see it someday though so you can add your thoughts. I'm surprised Leonard Maltin didn't call it a BOMB, he gave it 2-1/2 stars.
After Eleanor Parker dies the movie is pointless and boring. Not even camp unless you count Janet Leigh's horrible makeup and hair.
