That escalated quickly (spoilers)

That ending was one of the more unexpected...and interesting that I've seen in a long time. It went all kinds of mad.
Saburo had quite the painful, dramatic, extra death. For me it is right up there with Don't Torture a Duckling and Aces High for extra deathery endings.
And I loved the scene of Etsuko sensuously burying him. Possibly my favorite scene in the film. The whole final 5-10 minutes with the music and the imagery was stunning.

I loved this movie from start to finish though and I count it as one of my top five favorite films in the psycho bitch sub-genre. Miike's Audition is another Japanese entry on that list, by the way. My opinions, of course.
