I know they're two different films but the dates are about right Florrie was about early to mid 20s in The Cardinal (her scenes take place in 1917) we don't see her anymore after her last scenes in TC. So she met Charles Pether and you know the rest.

Maybe you're right. Except, there's that tricky thing with "7 Women"'s dialogue about Florrie and Charles having known one another since childhood but putting off their wedding until late in life due to hard times and the expenses Charles had to pay for his invalid mother's healthcare.
