About the Budget of This Shoestring Production

'tis obvious that the most important factor in this red-penny-cheap inanity was to base its plots on those of the movies Allen ripped off; for ex, THE LAST PATROL was based on the Battle of New Orleans, not because that battle is as world famous as the Battle of Waterloo, but simply because IA wanted to exploit the film THE BUCCANEER, in which Yul Brynner plays Jean Laffite and Charlton Heston plays Andrew Jackson.
So what kind of budget did Herr Allen have at his disposal? The movies he ripped off must have been very expensive, since in episodes such as REVENGE OF THE GODS and MASSACRE 'tis blatantly obvious that Allen had only between 12 and 20 extras to play big multitudes and huge armies. After watching each episode, I could recognise which extra had played which role at which episode.
