Looks Like Ray Has a Double as Well

Maybe it's my imagination, but check this out. In "Reign of Terror", Whit Bissell plays a French officer who is a double for General Kirk. But it looks to me like they slipped John Zaremba into a uniform as well.

At the 26:00 mark on the DVD (chapter 7), Querque vanishes as the Tunnel picks him up. A nearby guard turns to look at where he was, then runs into the prison. The lighting is lousy, and you only get a second or two, but take a close look at that guard. He shows up again at 39:02 (chapter 9), just after we cut away from the Dauphin's cell, but his face is partially obstructed in that scene.

Am I hallucinating (again!) or is Ray moonlighting?

Just checked out those scenes....sorry, but your imagination was running away with you.

reply

Yeah, the little voices were telling me I was hallucinating again. I should've listened.

Thanks.

I have never been able to find out for sure, but to me, it sounds like Whit Bissel's voice in the Star Trek episode The Cage (and the Menagerie, of course). The scene is when Spock and #1 are transmitting ships power against the Talosian elevator door to blast it open to retrieve Captain Pike.

Whomever they are talking to back on the Enterprise sure sounds like Whit Bissel.

"Our circuits are beginning to heat" is the specific line heard over the communicator. AFAIK, Whit is not credited.
