Avoid the British DVD set.

I should have posted this when this 'Complete' set came out. If you have a multi-region DVD player stick with the 2 American box sets as the British release by Revelation PAR61568 has footage missing from every single episode. What is missing is the preview of next weeks episode before the end titles, the episodes finish with them disapearing then the end titles. On the last episode the edited recap of the Titanic (pilot)is also missing thus distroying the feel that their lives are going in a circle. All the next week previews ARE featured as an extra on disc 9 running for 1 hour 14 minutes. The American versions by FOX, ARE COMPLETE. The only advantage the british set has is that all the discs have a 'PLAY ALL' option for the episodes & Irwin Allen's Behind-The-Scenes Home Movies - UK Edit (no audio).

Mat, you are a life saver, I was actually thinking about getting the UK set, as the UK set for Irwin Allen's Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea is good...but after your post...I will NOT get the UK set for TIME TUNNEL (I will get the US one).

Can you tell me all about the IRWIN ALLEN Home movie extras?
Are they really good?
Please describe in as much detail as possible?

reply

the ADVANTAGE of the UK sets is that they are on single sided DVD 9's-here in the US they use the cheap and often defective 2 sided DVD 18's

The correct running order of episodes on UK set is wrong also, so if your using IMDB episode list you may find yourself jumping around the discs a bit, with the previews on each episode then I guess that would make it confusing and obvious they are out of running order. I don't mind the UK set, at least all the missing previews are there in one lump and its a decent set overall.

Although I haven't got or seen the UK discs I know they're in the production order of the series, so not really wrong, only different!
