Space travel will be boring

If I ever get to go I'm going to make sure I pack my Star Trek DVDs with me.

Yep, won't be running into Klingons, Romulans, Metron's, Apollo, etc. week after week in real space. As much as I like the adventure of Star Trek I am glad that I am not facing the decision whether I want to go to Alpha Centauri or not using suspended animation or its equivalent. I still think that FTL travel is at least a century away for practical travel.

I truthfully don't see it ever happening. How can you go that fast without collisions? You wouldn't have enough time to get out of the way of an asteroid or meteor unless you had some very long range sensors to warn you.

not if you use a flux capacitor...

I think if you were sure you wouldn't crash (would have no worries about that) it might relax the 💩 out of you. .... that quiet little buzzing of the ship in the background... nice. And think of the size of the Enterprise, it's like a whole village of relatively well behaved people. And there are bars...🥃🍷 oh and let's not forget those rooms that can simulate things. 🤫😉

Hell yeah, it would be boring. We see the Enterprise warp from a planet, and then see it arrive at another. Imagine all of that boring travel for weeks in between. And these fools didn't even have a holodeck to help pass the time.
