Semi-ot Anyone here ever visit the shrine of Fatima in Portugal?

I'm asking because Sherry Jackson, who played the android Andrea in the episode, "What Are Little Girls Made of?", played the young visionary Jacinta in the film The Miracle of Our Lady of Fatima.

reply

No, but my mom wanted to name me Jacinta, who was one of the three children who saw the Virgin Mary. The reason for this was the first time she appeared to them was May 13, 1917. Guess when my birthday is?

Boy, am I glad I was born on May 14.

reply

May 13?

reply

That's what I've always read. Of course, every five years or so, my birthday falls on a Friday.

And Jennifer Jones, the mother of Robert Walker Jnr (Charlie Evans - Charlie X) played Bernadette of Lourdes in The Song of Bernadette

Sherry Jackson: one of the hottest androids to have ever been manufactered. Roger Korby was truly a very lucky man!

reply

But remember, he was just an android to. So what does it matter?

reply

Of course, but Korby wasn't an android when he made her. I'm sure he had plenty of time to enjoy his creation!

reply

He said he was dying when they - mostly Ruk, I suppose - found him, and they apparently had to turn him into an android immediately to keep him "alive."

reply

So Ruk made Andrea? Does make sense since Korby would have undoubtably made a duplicate android of Christine if he had the chance. It would seem that Ruk was quite a dirty old man himself to have made such a hot android to serve his every whim!

reply

Korby the android might have made Andrea, after they - Ruk and whatever/whoever else, we're not told - made the Korby android first. But either way, human Korby did not "have sex" with android Andrea. He was apparently turned into an android as soon as his dying body was found.

(in quotes because androids can't really have sex.)

reply

Yes. It was a great experiemce

reply

I'm glad to hear it.

Interesting factoid:

Fatima is an Arabic name.

According to legend Fatima in Portugal is supposed to be named after a kidnapped Moorish Princess Fatima who was brought to that area in 1158 and married her captor Goncalo Hermigues.

The kidnapped Moorish Princess Fatima came from some Moorish kingdom or Taifa in Spain, I guess.

This Fatima would in turn have been named partially after Fatima, the daughter of the Prophet Mohammed and wife of Ali, mother of Hassan and Hussein, and alleged ancestress of the King of Morocco, the King of Jordan, the Agha Khan, the Fatimid Caliphs, etc., and every other Muslim who claims to be descended from the Prophet.

Now that you mention it, I remember reading that Fatima was the name of the prophet Mohammed. Thanks for writing an interesting post.
