"Superjeeps"

I don't know how the production company prepped their staged vehicles but your standard issue WWII military issue Willys jeep as shipped would need an extra rear spring leaf just to carry a mounted machine gun. Put anything else in it and it's not going to travel 300 miles across the desert at more than 40 miles an hour, run for a whole day without puking coolant (or plain water more than likely) let alone catch air off a dune. Entertaining, yes but a rather brash embellishment. I wonder if they did some early 6 cylinder conversions on their stunt jeeps...
