Something needs to be said again.... (the new holiday thread)

To all my MI pals on the board, have a great holiday! I hope you all don't mind me taking it upon myself to start a new thread. Let's see how long we can keep this baby going! And a Happy New year as well. We may all have different backgrounds and different tastes, but we're all fans of this great show so that makes us one big MI family. Let us raise the egg nog for a small toast. 

Jayhn 1111! A welcome sight in these parts! A rare post by the guru of all MI posters. What long time IMF fans can ever forget your original holiday post from 2006? Merry Christmas to all our Mission:impossible family.

reply

Happy Christmas mates. Hope to see you all here in the Happy New Year,

reply

Thanks buddy! It's a pleasure to be a part of this holiday tradition we started.

reply

Happy Holidays. My husband celebrates Chanukah. I celebrate Christmas. Our kids are lucky and choose to celebrate both. Best wishes to all our friends here on this board.

reply

It's getting close. Where is everybody? Merry Christmas IMFers!

reply

I'm checking in to wish all my IMF pals a wonderful holiday and new year! Be sure to watch plenty of M:I--especially those Syndicate Years!

reply

I've only been posting since late June 2016, but it's very cool that I can discuss Mission Impossible with people who know that there was a series BEFORE the movies!!!

reply

Once again I just wanted to wish all my friends on the board a great Holiday! It's been a pleasure chatting with all you good people over the years. I hope for many more. And ofcourse a Happy New Year! 

reply

This will be my first Christmas posting on this message board. So Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, Happy Hanukkah, and a Happy Kwanzaa. It is an honor and a privilege to talk with my fellow IMF's.

Laugh while you can, Monkey Boy!

What a jerk I was last year, I didn't respond. But this year I won't be on the naughty list.
My holiday wishes go out to you and yours of my friends on the MI board. And especially the following...
mariakelly
jayhn
pacwarbuff
klondike6
cinna_mini_me
Mel_bor_ing
and our leader, lima-2
Most of all, PEACE!

Thanks! Right back at you!

BTW, you're not a jerk.

Laugh while you can, Monkey Boy!

reply

Welcome to this thread and to other first time posters like mariakelly!

Thanks for your kind sentiments cind5. I defer the title of leader to jayhn1111.

I was fortunate enough to be around when jayhn1111 started the original thread "Something needs to be said" way back in 2006. Wowsa! Ten years ago!! I think we had close to 100 posts on that original thread before IMDB deleted it around 2011/2012. Let's see how long we can keep this one going.

I echo cind5's post: PEACE! Peace to everyone here. We all celebrate the season in our own way.

reply

Okay. My next post:

Joyeux Noel and Felix Navidad (I hope that's how you spell it.) to everyone!

Laugh while you can, Monkey Boy!

reply

I promise .... I NEVER said Alpha Mike Foxtrot. 

It was always India Mike Foxtrot. 

Merry Christmas IMF-er's! 

reply

Um, okay.

Laugh while you can, Monkey Boy!

Happy Holidays to my Mission: Impossible family!

Maybe we can coax back the long MIA's: Tyler_A_Arse, MrEdnaBlackAdder, and Moon_And_New_York_City. Are you out there, guys? Is this all a syndicate plot pacwarbuff?

Just call me name-dropper!!

reply

I think it may be a nefarious plot by the European People's Republic to destabilize the message board. Let's fight against this attempted hijacking of our right to post! So everyone, let's keep encouraging all IMF's past, present and future to respond!

Laugh while you can, Monkey Boy!

reply

I've been thinking, yeah it hurts a lot, but my point is, did they ever have a x-mas episode? If I dismember correctly, didn't they have a New Year's episode. Maybe not. Right now I'm having a vapor lock.

reply

Okay lima-2. You are the Jim Phelps of this board and jayhn is the Dan Briggs. How's that?

Spenser with an "S", like the poet.

reply

Can I be the Cinnamon Carter of this board please?

Laugh while you can, Monkey Boy!

reply

How about Dana Lambert?

Happy Christmas everyone. You too cinna_mini_me. I got your insider, klondike6. LMAO.

reply

I'd much rather be Cinnamon than Dana because Cinnamon's wardrobe was MUCH better.

Laugh while you can, Monkey Boy!

reply

Sorry, we already have Cinnamon. Cinna_Mini_Me. You can be Lisa, Dana, Tracey or Mimi.

Spenser with an "S", like the poet.

reply

Well, I have blonde hair, and I'm left handed, so I'll be Casey.

Laugh while you can, Monkey Boy!

reply

When I watch Sam Elliott as Dr. Robert, I always want him to say, "This place has a sign hangin' over the urinal that says, "Don't eat the big white mint".

Spenser with an "S", like the poet.

reply

Um, okay.

reply

It's from the movie, ROADHOUSE. It's like wanting to see Jim Phelps say,
"You ever been in a cockpit before? You ever seen a grown man naked?"
Of course you know where that's from. From the movie where we learn June Cleaver can speak jive.

Spenser with an "S", like the poet.

reply

Well, OF COURSE I know about Airplanes 1 and 2, but the only things I know about Roadhouse is that Patrick Swayze, Sam Elliott, and Kevin Tighe were in it.

Laugh while you can, Monkey Boy!

reply

That's okay. ROADHOUSE is a total guy movie. I can pretty much assure you, you won't like it.

Spenser with an "S", like the poet.

reply

I like guy movies (after all, I'm a WW2 history buff), but I'll take your word for it.
