The Heir Apparent

I have always thought that this season three opener was one of Barbara Bain's finest performances. What do you think?

My favourite episode from my favourite season of "M:I". Bain's performance was terrific (and dare I say the best she gave during her three years with the show). No wonder why she won the Emmy for her work in this story

Unlike another roles where Cinnamon gets to use her beauty and appeal to lure unsuspecting targets off balance, here she's a old, frail, blind woman who must convince a whole nation that she is the person she's "playing" and she does it beautifully. This requires a stronger degree of acting and Bain rose to the challenge and knocked it out of the park.

Great episode

I completely agree. My favorite part of the episode was at the end when the Patriarch (who has figured out that she's not Princess Celine) whispers to her, " I don't know who you are, but I believe that divine provenience has sent you. Thank you."

I was just part of the inspiration for this episode was the story of Anna Anderson, who claimed to be The Grand Duchess Anastasia, one of the children of the last Czar of Russia, Nicholas II.

Fasten your seatbelts, it's going to be a bumpy night.
