Who are Judith's parents?
Grand mama dies.....but we never see her children/Judith's parents.
Who were they?
She talks about them, then there are the "period" or alternate realities/parallel universe episodes where the old Collins family is alive with our present day actors playing duel roles!

It turned out that Jamison was Liz and Roger's father, so I'm guessing Tad in 1840 was Judith, Edward, and Quentin's father. If so, Tad and his wife had both passed before 1897.

He mentioned he sent his children off to school.
It's been over decade since I've seen the 1840 episodes, so it could've been Gabriel. The 30th Annivesary book has the family tree illustrated but I have it in storage at the moment.
