Barnabas has a Rooster!

Where does he keep him?

reply

Next to his kennel of howling dogs.

reply

And giant bats.

reply

LOL!

And why doesn't he have Willie fix the broken plaster on the walls? I guess he likes the run down look just like Dracula does.

reply

That is interesting. Willie sits there tinkering with furniture that doesn't need repair, and that same ghetto-looking wall by the front door remains untouched. No wonder Barnabas beats him.

reply

LOL. And where are the cobwebs only B can walk through and not get sticky from??

reply

Oh, the Old House. That annoying stairway at the Old House obviously leads to nowhere. It's even worse than the annoying landing at the top of the stairway at Collinwood which leads to the dressing rooms.

reply

I read there's another stairway going down behind the wall with the stained-glass window, lined with the various portraits seen on the show.

reply

Cheap, cramped studio! LOL! Which "house" stairway had another stairway going down behind the wall? Collinwood or the Old House?

reply

The hidden one I referred to was at Collinwood, on the other side of the wall from the landing (with the big stained-glass window). You can also access it by going through the door Mrs. Johnson uses to get to the back of the house (under the landing).
They started the show with a larger studio, but once they got going (and got rid of George Mitchell and Mark Allen) they moved to the smaller, permanent one that was previously used for game shows and talk shows.

reply

I didn't know that. Thanks for the trivia.

reply

I know a lot more, but it's locked away in this thick skull.

What? That doorway under the landing leads to the kitchen and the study, not a stairway. What the heck are you talking about?

reply

To the west wing.

reply

If there's a stairway to the "west wing," I don't believe it's ever been shown. There's a door at the end of the upstairs hallway that leads to an unused wing, however.

reply

I was referring to the actual set, not the supposed layout mentioned by the characters.
