When I was a kid a was intrigued by False Face, especially because he was given a ? in the credits.

reply

The actor was actually quite famous.

Can't remember how many years later it was when I learned it was Malachi Throne. Although he has an extensive list of credits, I really only remember him from It Takes a Thief ("I'm not asking you to spy, I'm asking you to steal") and a guest shot on Star Trek TOS, "The Menagerie."

reply

Really interesting thing about that episode was it was supposed to be Clint Eastwood as Two-Face. They decided his appearance was too grotesque for the show so they reworked it to False Face. Clint backed out when he realized his face would never be seen.

reply

And of course I can't find anything online to back that up.
