Racial Stereotypes

One of the reviewers mentions racial stereotyping in one or two episodes.I do not see the point of back-dating modern sensibilities to old movies and TV shows.

I am a wheelchair user ,and, while stereotyping of Disabled People in modern productions annoy me immensely,I am relaxed and often even amused by,those of the past.That was then,this is now,so why get uptight about attitudes that have by now,for the most part, disappeared ?
