When is the USA Studio DVD to be released?

Is this film soon to be released on an official MGM release by Warner Bros. in Region 1 (USA) anytime soon? Is it their property? I've been looking for this a long time as a big fan of movie star actor Rod Taylor, but being part Irish meself, the film has a special feel for me also. I hope they also release Rod Taylor's classic spy spoof THE LIQUIDATOR (MGM,1966) sometime soon also!

Both Young Cassidy and The Liquidator are available from the Warner Archive now.

both have been remastered. Young Cassidy is in great shape as far as the video goes - the audio on the copy I received (these are made to order) was OK, but on the low-volume side. The dialog was clear enough, but with heavy Irish brogues in abundance and no captions available, I would have liked to have turned the sound up more than was possible....

Thanks! I received notice from the Warner Archive this week and I have the three Rod Taylor movies on order now. I love them all! SEVEN SEAS TO CALAIS (1962) is the other one, quite a swashbuckling movie with Rod in fine form as Sir Francis Drake. Rod in his prime was a fantastic movie star, and these films are jewels in his crown, along with MGM's THE TIME MACHINE, THE BIRDS, THE VIPS, HOTEL, 36 HOURS, and his wonderful TV series HONG KONG (Fox-TV, 1960-61). I hope someday Fox will stop hoarding their backlog of classics and share them on discs with all of us.

To egads: You were unlucky there. I received my Warner Archive copy of "Young Cassidy" last week and the sound level is loud enough on mine. Maybe you should have sent it back to be exchanged...but always put a small special mark on the non-playing side of the disc with one of those felt tip pens that you write on CDs and DVDs with, to make sure that they don't send the same disc back to you that you sent to be replaced.

I really enjoyed seeing the film again for the first time in over 47 years. I first saw it in July, 1965.
