Censored UK dvd

The UK dvd claims to be uncut, but it is cut. While the controversial swimming pool scene is intact, alot of other things have been removed. The opening scene is cut down, to the point where it is hard to tell what is happening. Some shots of Lawrence in his underwear have been cut, and in this version you don't see that Lawrence climaxes while on the phone with Nora. It's been cleverly cut away. When Lawrence kills Elaine Strich in the alley, it is no longer evident that he violates her dead body. The scene where Sal is looking at porno magazines with nude models on the covers is gone. And the scene where Lawrence's mother seduces him is shortened. Even the rape scene at the end is toned down. there are other things that I noticed too. While my bootleg copy might not be the best picture quality, it is at least totally uncut. I wish someone could release a legitimate uncut edition of this seminal film...after all, it did inspire the film "Taxi Driver.."
