Clearing up some confusion about this film

In 1965, "Oggi, domani, dopodomani" was released in Italy as a 3-part film, the first of which was the Ferreri-directed segment with Mastroianni and Catherine Spaak. Segment two featured Mastroianni and Virna Lisi, while segment three featured Mastroianni and Pamela Tiffin.

In 1968, segments two and three from the original film were released in the U.S. as "Kiss the Other Sheik" and DID NOT include the Mastroianni/Spaak segment. IMDB's listing on this issue is confusing and incorrect.

Also in 1968, the Mastroianni/Spaak segment from "Oggi, domani, dopodomani" was released in an expanded form as a stand-alone film in the U.S. through Sigma III-Filmways under the title "The Man With the Balloons." Outside of the U.S. and Canada, the expanded version was released through MGM under the title "Break-Up."

Finally, the short version of the Mastroianni/Spaak segment (which was used in "Oggi, domani, dopodomani" but NOT in "Kiss the Other Sheik") is not merely a trimmed down version of the stand-alone film. It contains some footage not included in the extended version.

Ferreri shot the film in early 1964, but it was shelved by Ponti. The extended version appears to have two sequences shot after 1964 but before the summer 1968 release of the extended version. However, I do not know the exact story behind that.
