Why was James Bond presented as a 'hot piece of ass'?

All the other scuba divers wear trousers...he wears some sort of hot pants.

I have no problem with men wearing small bathing suits or Speedos if they can pull it off. But it just seemed out of place that he's wearing a very revealing scuba suit and the other agents aren't.

I have to conclude that they wanted to sell Bond as a sexual fantasy to the audience.

Part of the gay agenda. It's no coincidence that men eating each other's assholes is so common nowadays

In real life, how much of a diver's skin is covered depends on the temperature of the water, the diver's tolerance for cold, and the likelihood of encountering schools of stinging jellyfish. Back when I did a lot of diving, the trend was for the fattest divers to have the highest tolerance for cold water, so on several occasions I saw the heaviest divers wearing swimsuits while the hotties had on heavy wetsuits!

But what does a James Bond film have to do with reality...

Hasn't the James Bond series always had sexual fantasy as part of its schtick? That's why Bond is usually played by an attractive actor and he gets to bed attractive women.

reply

Next James Bond needs to be unattractive and bed unattractive women to be more inclusive.

In part he was dressed differently to distinguish him from the other divers.

Since everybody's face is covered in SCUBA scenes, they have to make sure the audience always knows which one is Bond. Putting him in different pants was an effective way of doing that. They used to do the same thing on "Sea Hunt", putting Mike Nelson in a different colored wetsuit than the other divers so you could sort him out.
