Why Did the Change the Plot ?

In the original 1959 novel, Domino's brother was the hijacker who SPECTRE paid to take over the plane. In the novel, there was no Angelo, or someone impersonating her brother

My theory is that it tied together the Shrublands spa scenes better, connecting them with the rest of the story.

In the book, Bond goes to the Bahamas and meets Domino, after coincidentally being at the Spa where Count Lippe and her brother were staying to hijack the plane from the nearby base

I haven't read the novels but from what you tell it gives me the feeling they did it so we could find Domino more likable and give her a good reason on why she would colaborate with Bond and tell him the information he needed.

When she realizes the monster Largo is for killing her Brother she loved, she wants to avenge his death and knows Bond is the one who can do this job the best

After I wrote the above, I realized that I goofed. The novel was 1961, not 1959

Also, in the book Domino and her brother are Petacchi, while in the movie they are Derval. Probably changed because Claudine Auger is French, not Italian ?

I think a criticism of the book was that in the novel Bond went to the Spa where Domino's brother was with Lippe, and by sheer coincidence, he later went to the Bahamas and met Domino. What are the odds of that ?

You may recall that in the film he saw the dead brother, then when M showed him the photo of the deceased, Bond requested that he go to the Bahamas, instead of the other place M originally wanted to send him

Plus, by adding the Angelo character it gave Fiona Volpe something to do at the Spa portion of the film-- she wasn't in the book

its so cool they added Fiona here, this film wouldnt have been the same without her, Domino was a very nice Bond girl and whole film is great is Just that Fiona was a great female villain the best from the classic era.

I forgot that detail i thought Bond recognized him(Domino's Brother) inmediatley by the stuff he found under water, i forgot it was M who told him who was that guy by the picture. I think i need to see the film again sometimes i forget a few scenes and details of some of the bond flicks.

So wait if the Whole Bahamas part was after he recognized Domino's brother and the love scene under water, then where he met Domino where they danced. ?
Something in the order of the events dont make click to me

Not sure about your question

In the movie, Bond found the dead brother, Derval, at the Spa

Later, M showed Bond a picture of the brother, and Bond said that he previously found him dead. Bond was told this was impossible, as Derval piloted the plane. This prompted Bond to go to the Bahamas to investigate the sister, Domino, whom he saw in the photo

In the book, Bond never came across the dead brother as he was the pilot, not Angelo
