SPECTRE meeting scene

In the SPECTRE meeting scene near the beginning, Number 1 accuses one of them of embezzlement. One agent clearly thinks he is going to be punished for it, but I don't see why. He knows he's not responsible, and presumably No. 1 is intelligent enough to make sure who the real thief is before he zaps him.

I guess the other agent who is actually executed thinks No. 1 made a mistake and will fry the wrong agent.

Another possibility is that the agent who was electrocuted really wasn't guilty, but was killed as a warning against disloyalty. It would definitely underscore the ruthlessness of SPECTRE.

I see your point. However I have been in meetings at work, done nothing specifically wrong but still got nervous. The true embezzeler was probably just trying to convince Blofeld and himself that he was innocent. Number One is an intimidating presence, especially when he can kill at any moment.

I would never go to work meetings if it wasn't for the free pizza.

The innocent guy probably doesnt realize that his partner embezzled the money. He probably just thinks that Blofeld is mistakenly going to kill him because they didnt make enough on the scheme. It makes sense for him to be nervous.

Cool scene. Nice twist at the end.

Guess at future meetings no one is going to sit in that seat!

More a case of "No, after you..."
