Would've been a classic if the third act were fixed

I really enjoyed the first two thirds of the movie, but in the third act, the amount of underwater fights was just getting obsessive. The plot and ending were predictable too, but hey, it's the 60's.

I think you mean '60s.
But what on Earth do you mean by that decade being predictable?

For the time, those underwater scenes were considered awesome. So awesome, in fact, that the filming of them won an Oscar!
