Isn't a young kid in this movie?

I thought the plot had to do with a kid needing a home and Jason Robards has to find a job and provide a stable environment. When I went to IMDb to see who played the kid, no one in the cast of eight (8) was young enough. Was the kid only spoken of but never seen?

No, the kid was there through the whole movie, chattering away about everything going on. He had the second largest role in the film if I recall correctly, how odd that he wouldnt be given credit on online sources.

I went to IMDb and the credits are Robards, Harris, Martin Balsam, Gene Saks (b. 1921), William Daniels (1927), and three other actors who are all adults. There is a still photo of Murray with Barry Gordon (1948) ....
OK, I have this figured out. I think the kid (Gordon) liked to take on various names, and on IMDb he's the last person listed with nine (9) different "roles." How funny. Thanks for responding and making me look more closely.

Wikipedia has a credit for Barry Gordon as Nick the kid! So I guess it's just IMDB that didn't make things completely obvious.

Mostly it's my fault for not realizing Barry Gordon (who had a lot of credits) with his 9 movie names here might be Nick (the Kid) Burns. Seriously, thank you for making me figure this out.
