TSR-2 and heyday of British aviation link ?

I believe the 60's was one period of the heyday of British aviation with the testing of the TSR-2 . I believe this film was launched the same year as the cancellation of the TSR-2 jet . I don't know which actually came first - the cancellation was I believe in April of the same year.

Does anyone know whether the making of this film has anything to do with possible behind the scenes efforts to bolster support for the British aviation industry and the incredible British jet, Tactical, Strike and Recconaisance jet fighter, which was on the chopping block? The TSR-2 was chopped in favour of a USA plane - F-111 . I believe in this film in the closing sequence you can see an Electric Lightening, which the TSR- 2 was to replace.

It seems that the Canadian equivalent of a major blow to the domestic aviation industry was the cancellation of the Avro Arrow. Almost the deal, blow by blow, ten years earlier. Star Trek's, 'Scotty' had made a promotional film to support the Arrow just before it's demise, of course, on a miniscule budget.

Great film and there are definite political statements made in it.
