Nat King Cole's Those Lazy, Hazy Days...

Anyone know of any connection between Nat King Cole's hit tune "Those Lazy Hazy Crazy Days Of Summer" and the theme tune of this film?

Nat's hit peaked in 1963 on the charts while this film came out in 1965 according to the board. So I would say that the theme of this film was grafted on top of / inspired by Nat King Cole's hit. Very similar, especially the opening. I suppose the hit traveled to England on the charts. And I wonder what precedent Nat's tune was based on? Seems more English than American.
