Film set for the year 2015

So, we're midway through 2013, so, is it possible this film could actually be reality within 1.5 years? An actual space flight to a new planet?

I've heard of rumors of flights to Mars to colonize, however, it's stated there are no return flights. I'm wondering when this will occur, and if so, will they have a captain as over bearing as Mead, and will we have cyborgs like the doctor head in the plastic bubble?
