In this movie reel-to-reel tape recorders are main recording devices.
Back To The Future II predicts the use of Hover conversion kits for your car.

We're well beyond parts of this movie (Interplanetary travel still in our future) but reel to reel is minimal if at all now and we are no where close to BTTF II technology.
