Unique

Anyone know of any other movie that doesn't have a character
that's named in the title? That is, she's named in the title,
but no one plays the part of Katie Elder. This may be unique.

"Rebecca." The character Rebecca DeWinter is already dead as the films begins. The story is told from the POV of the new Mrs. DeWinter, who always feels overshadowed by the momory of her husband's first wife.

One can also make a case for "Harvey," as the title character, a figment of the lead character's imagination, is never seen.

I forgot about 'Rebecca'.
I think 'Harvey' qualifies also.

Philip Truex plays the part of Harry...so, there is a person in the movie that is in the title of the movie.
"The Trouble With Harry" doesn't qualify. Sorry.

Harry Kellerman would qualify tho!!

The list of movies so far:

Audrey Rose.

King Solomon's Mines.

Albert RN may qualify.

The Albert in the title is a mock up bust that the POW's use at roll call to cover the escape of a prisoner.
