Ernest Gold's original soundtrack for SHIP OF FOOLS

Academy Award-winning composer Ernest Gold's superb original soundtrack for SHIP OF FOOLS was recently released on CD by Monstrous Movie Music. The extensive liner notes go into great detail about the film and its score, and this is the premiere release of the original soundtrack, as a quite different re-recording was done back in 1965 and conducted by Arthur Fiedler. As enjoyable as that release was, this is the real deal, from the composer's original monophonic reel-to-reel tapes.
