Best Fight Scene Ever!

I just got to say. This movie has the best fight scene ever (refering of course, to the fight over the horses). It's not overdone, it's got comedy, it's got a great set-up, and it's got great stunts that aren't hampered by special effects, wires, or pads.

I love watching the jumps on, over, and around the horses. They find about five intensive ways to remove a person from a horse.

Boy in the water and the whole fight ended by a girl with skills. Ha! It's great.

Yup. It is a Great scene!

It may be a great scene (always good to see Lane Bradford) but it seems to me like it belonged in a different movie than the ending.

It was in the beginning, before the wedding

I'd rather go hunting with Dick Cheney, than driving with Ted Kennedy

I meant to say in my awkward way that the fight was somewhat comical with corny music & Jimmy Stewart doing a "cross eyed John Wayne" after being punched but then at the end half the family has been killed. It seemed like it was two movies spliced together.

That's a good observation, corriganville. You'll note that the entire film is basically two halves. The first being light and slightly comical, which matches the attitude of the Andersons i.e., when nothing was wrong. Then, of course, in the second half, after the tragedies that befall the family, it purposely takes on a much darker tone. You're right. In many ways, they are two films put together.

While I love the fight scene in this movie I have to say that the one in "McClintock" is my favorite. For one the way it starts is hilarious! "I won't hit you, I won't hit you. The hell I won't!" OMG!!!! Too funny.
